A: Everybody is different but research used by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (The people who test you) advises us that the average learner requires about 46 hours training with a Driving Instructor, plus an additional 20 hours with a friend or family member. It is possible you may complete your training more quickly, equally it may take longer.
A: Your instructor will need to see your driving license. If you require glasses, you must wear them as your instructor will carry out an eyesight test. You must be able to read a number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres. You should also wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

A: You can book your Practical test online by following this link. https://www.gov.uk/book-driving-test or you can call 0300 200 1122, Monday-Friday 8AM-midday. After you have booked your test you may need to change the date you have selected, you can also do this online or by phone.
A: Pass Plus is a training course specifically aimed at new drivers, designed by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry. Pass Plus will build upon your existing skills and knowledge, it will teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, and can help you become more confident on the roads. The course is made up of six practical modules which include:
- driving in town
- driving in all weathers
- driving on rural roads
- driving at night
- driving on dual carriageways
- driving on motorways
Anyone who holds a full UK licence is eligible to take part in the scheme. You will not have to take a test at the end of the course but you will be continually assessed. You must successfully complete all the modules in the course to an achieved or exceeded standard.
